"Boteh" silk envelope cushion

Early 1960's Persian silk fabric with boteh design and pacific blue Indian silk douppion cushion decorated with a late 20th century white ribbon with raised embroidery soutache woven motif. The pocket is in pacific blue silk with blue matching zip.

The ribbon comes from french ribbon maker Julien Faure's archive, one of the only ribbon makers who has survived into the 21st century. They now specialise in Haute Couture ribbons for luxury houses such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Prada amongst others
